Who am I

When I was pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design & Automation, I became addicted to playing League of Legends during my first two years. As a result, my grades were poor — I barely passed most of my courses.

In my third year, I decided to quit gaming and focus on studying. That year, I earned a scholarship and achieved much better grades. As I started learning subjects like Mechanical Design, Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Materials, and Assembly Language, I discovered that I was actually more interested in computer-related knowledge. So I began teaching myself programming — starting from C++, then moving on to Java, HTML, and CSS.

After graduation, I successfully entered the software development industry. However, I wasn’t very good at career planning. Whenever I started feeling bored at a company, I tended to switch jobs. It wasn’t ideal for building a stable career, but it gave me the chance to explore different domains and gain a wide range of experiences.

After working at three different companies, I joined a large commercial bank as a software engineer. At first, it was a great place — decent salary, flexible working hours, and a good work-life balance.

Throughout my career, I also met many friends, some of whom started their own businesses. I helped them design and develop applications, which not only improved my technical skills but also brought me some extra income.

In 2023, I felt a strong desire to study abroad. So I started planning my resignation, and in 2024, I came to Melbourne to begin my master’s journey.
