New ATMC

The New ATMC project was initiated as part of a broader banking system modernization and platform migration initiative. The goal was to reduce dependency on the existing NCR platform and rebuild key ATM transaction capabilities on a newly developed internal ATMC system.

This project focused on refactoring and migrating core ATM business functions while ensuring transaction accuracy, system compatibility, operational stability, and security compliance. The frontend was primarily developed with Vue 2, providing a stable and maintainable user interface for ATM-related operations.

Through this project, the bank was able to move important transaction workflows to an internally controlled platform and improve the flexibility of future system maintenance and feature expansion.


Project Background

The legacy ATM system relied on the NCR platform for multiple transaction and operational capabilities. To improve platform independence and long-term maintainability, key business functions were gradually migrated to the new ATMC system.

The project required a careful understanding of ATM transaction workflows, message assembly, signature verification, business rule validation, and end-of-day operational processes.


My Role

I participated in the frontend development and business function implementation of the New ATMC system. My work focused on transaction-related modules, parameter download routines, paperless receipt features, and financial product purchase workflows.

I worked closely with backend developers and business stakeholders to understand transaction requirements, implement user-facing features, and validate functional behavior across different banking scenarios.

Transfer Transaction Module

  • Implemented frontend functionality for intra-bank transfers, inter-bank transfers, and transfer reversals.
  • Supported transaction workflows including message assembly, signature verification, and transaction execution.
  • Ensured transaction data was correctly displayed, submitted, and validated through the ATM interface.
  • Helped improve transaction accuracy and consistency across different transfer scenarios.

End-of-Day Parameter Download

  • Developed features for downloading critical system parameters at the end of each business day.
  • Supported parameter types such as card tables, ATM configuration data, functional switches, and other operational settings.
  • Helped ensure the ATM system could keep required business parameters up to date for daily operations.

Paperless Transaction Receipts

  • Designed and implemented digital transaction receipt functionality.
  • Replaced traditional paper-based transaction slips with electronic receipt records.
  • Improved operational efficiency and supported the digitalization of traditional banking processes.

Financial Product Purchase Module

  • Developed frontend functionality to support term deposit purchases and other financial product transactions through the ATM interface.
  • Implemented user interaction flows for product selection, transaction confirmation, and result display.
  • Supported business scenarios that extended ATM functionality beyond basic cash and transfer operations.
